The Challenge
NBC Sports Washington (formerly Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic) is the official home to in-season coverage of the Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards. The network was looking to establish their social profiles as the digital headquarters for all things DC sports and drive tune-in (both linear and broadcast) for their game coverage.
The Solution
NBCS Washington is a powerhouse sports news publisher on social, so there was no need to fix something that's not broken. Instead, my team took a paid media approach and produced game-specific, media amplified content that focused on current and developing storylines.

By developing a series of interactive digital engagements (sweepstakes, giveaways, etc.), targeted paid media, and shareable game posts, my team was able to drastically increase the daily reach of the network's social profiles and build a community of segmented, accessible sports fans across the DC area.
My Role
As the account lead, my role was to put together a strategy that would work for the client's unique goals. I took point on all client communication and delegated and reviewed all ad copy and creative, ad trafficking and reporting to my internal teams.
